Protecting Survey Taker Anonymity Print or save as PDF

Whenever results are reported for a small number of survey-takers, there is a chance that the anonymity of that population may be compromised. In the interest of ensuring survey-takers’ anonymity, The Learning Bar’s reporting tools will automatically suppress data for populations that do not meet a minimum size.

For student surveys, the minimum reportable population size within the one-click reports and interactive charts is five or more students. The open-ended question report requires ten or more responses in order to show a result, these responses are also restricted to school level personnel only. For the district one-click reports, there must be data from fifty or more students, across two or more schools, per grade in order to report a district aggregate. To generate a district-level roll-up interactive chart, there must be ten or more students.

We have recently made some updates to our suppression rules within the student survey One Click Report (OCR), to learn more please read our article: Update to Suppression Rules for One-Click Reports
