Trend Reports
Trend Reports will allow schools to easily assess the impact of their policy or practice changes across time.
Visual representations of trends and the ability to sort charts by degree of change will allow schools to quickly pinpoint areas for attention.

The Trend Reports also allow schools to compare and contrast trends among specific student groups (e.g., by grade, sex, Aboriginal status, new Canadians, students with a disability, etc.)

Accessibility & Inclusivity
WCAG Level AA compliance
OurSCHOOL survey content has been brought up to Level AA accessibility standards as defined by the W3C Consortium (www.w3.org)
This means that all OS surveys are presented in a format that enables a high level of digital accessibility for people with disabilities.
Text to Speech compatibility
Text to Speech applications can be used to help increase survey participation among students with lower levels of reading comprehension, ELL students, or students with a disability.
After consulting with divisions across the country to find out which TTS applications they have successfully used with OurSCHOOL, we are pleased to present clients with a list of recommended free and paid tools.
Knowledge Base resources
To ensure that schools are aware of the option to use Text to Speech tools, our Knowledge Base has been expanded with links, instructions and example videos to help guide schools through the process of using Text to Speech.
Multi-Lingual Parent Survey
We want to ensure that ALL parents and guardians are given equal opportunity to have a voice in their school community.
We are launching our parent survey in 23 languages. See the complete list below:

Provincial Norms in Trend Reports
In 2020, we will provide schools with the option of comparing their results to both National Norms and Provincial Norms within the new Trend Reports.
Enhanced Notifications
We are currently working on upgrading the emails that are sent to schools when their reports are released.
The goal of this work is to increase users’ interest and engagement with their reports by sending notifications with:
- Personalized messaging
- Improved visual design
- Preview of survey results that are specific to their school
- A direct link to their reports
- Links to helpful supplemental content within our Knowledge Base

Mobile Student Survey
Our technical team is currently in the process of developing an adaptive display application for the student survey.
This functionality will allow the survey to be completed using phones, tablets or other internet-enabled mobile devices.
This has the potential of reducing the logistical overhead of managing students’ access to the school computer lab.
